Music Matters Petition – Sign before June 11th!

Below you will find the link to the Music Matters on-line petition.  Please take time to review the petition, sign your name on-line, and forward the petition link to your spouse, other parents, students, teachers, musicians, music-lovers, artists, friends, family, concern citizens ....anyone you believe would be interested in supporting music and the performing arts in our schools.  The petition states:

"We, the undersigned, believe that music provides significant contributions to children’s intellectual development and is essential for a well-rounded education. 

The music programs at Albemarle County’s Henley Middle School and Western Albemarle High School are at a critical crossroad. 

With changes in several key positions of leadership at both schools, we call for action in providing appropriate staffing, scheduling, and offerings to encourage and ensure outstanding programs of excellence in band, choir, and orchestra, and to grow a vibrant performing arts culture for our children’s academic community."
